Course content
|
Educational anthropology is focused on explaining the application of anthropology to education. The course deals with the study of anthropology and human variability through all subfields of anthropology. It also deals with anthropometry, growth and child development, ontogeny, hygiene and health education. It also outlines the tradition of health education in the Czech countries.

The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091. Students to be learn the knowledge of anthropology and especially biological and evolutionary anthropology. Emphasis is placed on the growth and development of the child, ontogenesis, sanitation, health education, human variability in time and space. Furthermore, the module introduces students to anthropological concepts, theories, its relationship to various disciplines of anthropology and contemporary perspective on the problem of education.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral exam
Graduation of the colloquium. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
