The student is familiar with the social protection system of the Czech Republic, knows the individual components of the social assistance pillar, explains the social services system, and is knowledgeable about social services legislation, including its development. They can describe the requirements for social service providers arising from current legislation, understand the theoretical foundations of social services quality, explain the content of social services quality standards, and describe the process of quality verification of social services. The student integrates social policy theory with the current social services system. They are able to practically address social issues related to poverty and homelessness, employment and unemployment, health and its disorders, and old age. The student will be capable of critically assessing the system?s setup and analyzing the situation of the affected individuals.
