Students will become familiar with the sociological perspective on microsocial phenomena and processes, particularly those related to the sociology of the family, close relationships, and the life course. They will learn to identify potentially stigmatizing social categories and sources of social inequalities, and through a comprehensive understanding of these issues, seek optimal solutions to situations and problems typical for work in helping professions.
