The aim of the course is to develop students? understanding of the psychological, social, and developmental context of childhood and adolescence, and to strengthen their ability to respond sensitively and effectively to the needs of children and young people in various life situations. The course focuses on acquiring theoretical knowledge about child development, risk factors, and types of intervention, as well as on developing practical skills in communication, group work, prevention, and mental health support. Emphasis is placed on linking theory with practice, reflecting on the role of the helping professional, and considering the ethical aspects of working with children and adolescents.
