To acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to understand human health and illness, enabling the perception of interrelations and the impact of health status changes that may arise in the context of professional practice. The student understands the intersection of health and social care and can describe the role of a social worker in healthcare facilities. To acquire knowledge and skills to assess one's own health status based on an understanding of subjective and objective symptoms and common illnesses. The student is familiar with self-monitoring and self-care for humanitarian workers and understands the role of the social worker in healthcare settings. The aim of first aid instruction is to learn how to provide basic lay first aid.
