The student is able to assess specific social problems that may have health causes, as well as situations where social conditions are one of the contributing factors in the development of disease. They give the opportunity to perceive the interrelationships and impacts of changes in health and changes in the client's living situation. Learners will understand the development of infectious diseases in the context of social work including adequate preventive measures. The aim of teaching basic first aid is to learn how to provide lay first aid.
