In a non-traditional format, the course incorporates lectures by experts from various fields of social work, allowing them to share and convey their knowledge and experience gained through long-term practice. The aim is to expand the educational offering beyond mandatory lectures (the content is designed to complement the core curriculum), provide students with an opportunity to reinforce their academic knowledge, and offer interactive, intensive learning. In connection with theoretical preparation, the program of the study retreat also includes alternative experiential activities that are directly relevant to work in helping professions, especially those involving communication with clients or groups. These activities focus not only on professional knowledge and positive motivation but also on identifying and distinguishing certain abilities and specific social skills. Another goal of the study retreat is to foster deeper mutual understanding among individuals, which contributes to a better social climate and greater cohesion within the student groups.
