Reading and studying selected passages from the Gospel of Luke, which is characterized by a strong and consistent focus on social justice and which depicts Jesus as an advocate for the overlooked and disadvantaged members of society, including the poor, women, outcasts, and foreigners. Key stories and teachings on social justice in Luke?s: Beatitudes and Woes (Luke 6:20?26) The Raising the Widow?s Son at Nain (Luke 7:11?17) The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25?37) The Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12:13?21) The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19?31) The Parable of the Judge and the Widow (Luke 18:1?18) Jesus and Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1?10)
