Course content
|
Cursory reading (of the Czech translation) and interpretation of a selected biblical book. The course is taught each year by two guest lecturers - experts on the relevant book of the Bible. Students are divided into two groups for the course.

Learning outcomes
|
Better knowledge of a selected biblical book.
Ability to point out the basic message and proposition of individual pericopes of the biblical text within its literary context. Ability to take a critical attitude towards secondary literature.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Video essay
Active participation in full-time seminars (3 days, usually in the summer months) and an elaboration of a seminary paper (5 p.) on a given topic from the studied biblical book.
