Learning outcomes
Student: - understands the system of social assistance and the issue of benefits and advantages for people with disabilities, is capable of basic social counselling, - understands the integration of the system of social services into the system of social protection, understands the roles of individual actors, - knows the legislation on social services, can use it at the macro and micro level of social work, - understands the development and concept of quality in social services, - understands the issue of quality standards for social services, can apply them in practice, - understands the meaning and criticism of quality management of social services, can use these aspects effectively in his/her practice, - understands the context of social services, limits and possibilities of their operation, in this context can use tools and actors from other areas, knows current trends in social services, - can analyze the quality of social service operation, can use knowledge from related disciplines to evaluate social service in terms of fulfilling its public commitment and fulfilling social policy objectives, - can solve case situations of social work clients using tools of social protection systems with emphasis on empowering the client in solving his/her own situation.
