The aim of the course is to achieve that students of social work gain a basic overview of the development of social work and its legitimacy, accept the values of social work and acquire the basic ethical principles of social work, its terminology, orient themselves in the main currents of thought influencing the development of social work, know the theoretical models relevant to social work and acquire the basic methods and techniques for the performance of social work in terms of assessing the situation of the client.
