Course content
The aim of this course is to acquaint students with practical aspects of life, reproduction, breeding and conservation of vertebrates. The excursion will focus on exotic vertebrates kept in zoological gardens. Students will acquaint themselves with zoological gardens as breeding, educational, and conservation institutions. They will understand reproduction and breeding of exotic species of vertebrates. They will also hear from a local specialist about the practicalities of zoo functioninig (economics, welfare of animals etc.).

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to acquaint students with practical aspects of life, reproduction, breeding and conservation of vertebrates.
Students will obtain knowledge on the breeding of exotic vertebrates.
