Course content
The course allows you to get elementary zoological knowledge usable in subsequent articles (eg in the animals, physiology and anthropology). The integral part of this course is Practice, mainly focused on histology and organology. 1. Basic morphology and cell types of animals. 2. Fundamentals of histology: epithelial tissue, connective, muscle and nerve, their meaning, structure and types. 3. Transplantation and regeneration animals. 4. Fundamentals of organs of animals. 5. Ontogenetic development, fundamentals of embryogenesis and its stages. 6. Animal Reproduction: asexual and sexual, of course, and forms.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Demonstration, Laboratory Work
Learning outcomes
Elementary information about the structure and construction of the bodies of animals (cell structure, histology, anatomy and construction of organs and organ systems), the transplantation and regeneration, ontogenetic development and reproduction of animals.
Student should be able to (after attending the course): - define basic background of zoology (histology, organology, embryogenesis and ontogenesis) - describe histology and microscopic anatomy - explain types of developmental stages.
Prerequisites
Elementary knowledge in biology and zoology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Oral exam, Written exam

Credit: 80% attendance, correct determination of (at lest) 8 histological slides (out of 10), correct determination of 3 developmental stages (out of 5) Exam: written test - 25 questions (at least 15.5 points out of 30.0) + consequent oral exam in extent of the lectures.
