Course content
The aim of the course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the field of crisis intervention. The course seeks to develop students' ability to recognise crisis situations, understand their impact on individuals and groups, and apply appropriate intervention strategies in accordance with ethical standards and professional responsibilities. Special attention is given to communication in crisis, prevention of secondary traumatisation, and interdisciplinary cooperation within crisis support systems.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the field of crisis intervention. The course seeks to develop students' ability to recognise crisis situations, understand their impact on individuals and groups, and apply appropriate intervention strategies in accordance with ethical standards and professional responsibilities. Special attention is given to communication in crisis, prevention of secondary traumatisation, and interdisciplinary cooperation within crisis support systems. Content: - Introduction to the issue of crisis and trauma - Theoretical definition of crisis intervention - Models of cross-intervention. - Cross-intervention in children - Kintervention within the framework of developmental needs - Cross-intervention in seniors - Cross-intervention and suicidal behavior - Cross-intervention in the long-term ill - Cross-intervention in people with disabilities - Family and child with disabilities. - Death and dying.
Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: Explain the basic concepts and theoretical frameworks of crisis intervention, including types, phases, and causes of crisis situations. Recognise signs and manifestations of crisis in individuals and groups across different age categories. Assess the level of risk and urgency in crisis situations, including situations involving self-harm, violence, or acute psychological distress. Apply basic crisis intervention techniques, particularly supportive communication, stabilisation, and short-term intervention strategies. Demonstrate ethical awareness and professional responsibility when working with individuals in crisis. Cooperate effectively with crisis support services and interdisciplinary teams, and understand the role of referral and follow-up care. Reflect on their own emotional responses and limits in crisis situations and apply principles of self-care and prevention of burnout.

Dialog

The condition for awarding credit is at least 80% active participation in seminars/exercises. - Study results (ability to connect theory and practice) will be verified through the completion of individually assigned tasks.
