Course content
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills in the field of philanthropy, with an emphasis on the application of these principles within special education. Students will become acquainted with the history of philanthropy, its principles, and current trends in the field. Additionally, they will learn to identify and utilize grant opportunities for practical applications in special education.

The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills in the field of philanthropy, with an emphasis on the application of these principles within special education. Students will become acquainted with the history of philanthropy, its principles, and current trends in the field. Additionally, they will learn to identify and utilize grant opportunities for practical applications in special education. The course focuses on the following topics: - Introduction to philanthropy: history, principles, and values, - Philanthropic strategies and donations: individual donors, corporations, foundations, - Roles and functions of foundations, - Identification of grant opportunities, - Grant application: process, key points, and successful strategies. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to understand the basic principles of philanthropy and identify grant opportunities for practical applications in the field of special education. They will also be able to compile quality grant proposals and effectively utilize resources to support their projects.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: Explain the basic concepts, principles, and values of philanthropy and describe its historical development and current trends. Differentiate key philanthropic strategies and forms of giving, including the roles of individual donors, corporations, and foundations. Describe the role and functions of foundations in supporting educational and social projects. Identify suitable grant opportunities relevant to the field of special education. Demonstrate understanding of the grant application process, including its stages and key requirements. Prepare a high-quality grant proposal that aligns with donor priorities and the needs of special education practice. Effectively use philanthropic and grant resources to support and develop projects in the field of special education.
