The aim of the course is to deepen students' professional knowledge and understanding of issues related to persons with visual impairment in the context of contemporary typhlopedagogical theory and practice and to prepare them for qualified professional engagement in the field of education and support for persons with visual impairment. The course seeks to enable students to comprehensively assess the needs of persons with visual impairment in various life situations and to professionally reflect on the specific features of support in the areas of self-care, orientation and mobility, education, social integration, and vocational inclusion. An integral part of the course objective is also to develop students' ability to apply special educational methods and intervention strategies in practice, including the use of modern compensatory aids and technologies, and to understand the importance of comprehensive rehabilitation and interdisciplinary cooperation in supporting persons with visual impairment.

A prerequisite for successful completion of the course is the fulfilment of the requirements set by the instructor at the beginning of the semester, in particular the student's active participation in classes, including regular attendance, engagement in professional discussions, and completion of ongoing study obligations arising from the organization of the course. |
