The discipline Methods of the Psychotherapy 1 aims to familiarize students with modern approaches and methods within individual psychotherapy schools. These approaches are mainly based on the methods of in-depth, humanistically oriented, cognitive-behavioral and systemically oriented psychotherapy. The basic principle will be a holistic approach to the individual. The discipline should familiarize students with the basic theory and also provide students with practical experience with the application of given methods and approaches.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: Explain the basic theoretical foundations of modern psychotherapeutic approaches, particularly psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive-behavioural, and systemic therapies. Compare major psychotherapeutic schools in terms of their philosophy, aims, and methods of working with clients. Apply a holistic approach to working with individuals, taking into account biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors. Identify basic psychotherapeutic techniques and methods used across different therapeutic approaches. Apply selected psychotherapeutic procedures in model situations, while respecting ethical and professional principles. Reflect on personal experience gained through practical exercises and evaluate their relevance for personal and professional development. Understand the possibilities and limitations of psychotherapeutic approaches within the context of helping professions. |

Podmínkou udělení zápočtu je min. 80 % aktivní účasti na seminářích/cvičeních. Studijní výsledky (schopnost propojení teorie a praxe) budou ověřovány prostřednictvím plnění individuálně zadaných úkolů. The condition for awarding credit is at least 80% active participation in seminars/exercises. - Study results (ability to connect theory and practice) will be verified through the completion of individually assigned tasks. |
