Course content
Evolution and growth of bone. Epidemyology of the pediatric fractures. Types of pediatric fractures and epiphyseal plate injuries. Diagnostics of pediatric fractures. Strategy of pediatric fractures management - bandages, traction, surgical treatment. Most common pediatric fractures of upper and lowe extremities and pelvis. Commplications of the trauma to growing skeleton.

Learning outcomes
Present the particularity of the pediatric trauma surgery regard to injuries of growing skeleton. Demonstrate tha basic content of theorethical knowledge - etiology, diagnostics, possibilities of conservative and surgical treatment of these injuries.
At the end of this seminary, students should be able to: Kow specific issues of anatomy and physiology of the growing skeleton, be privy to most common types of pediatric skeleton injuries, know the basis of correct diagnostics, conservative and surgical treatment selected types of pediatric skeleton injuries.

Command of human anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of basic surgical terminology.
