Course content
1. Organization, concepts and tasks of hygienic service 2. The issue of state health surveillance 3. Activities of the health service in health promotion and primary prevention 4. Anti-epidemic activity 5. The activity of the General and Municipal Hygiene Department 6. The workplace of the Department of Hygiene 7. Activities of the Department of Food Hygiene and Common Uses 8. Activities of the Department of Hygiene of Children and Juveniles 9. Scope of hygiene services in the area of crisis management (floods, highly dangerous infections, pandemic plans) 10. Tasks of the hygienic service in the context of health and environmental monitoring 11. Activities of the State Health Institute and Health Institutions 12. Model situations on chosen topics with active student involvement

Learning outcomes
The student will get acquainted with the organization and concept of hygienic service, its tasks, activities and competencies in general and in individual hygienic fields. He will be presented with a wide range of practical model situations.
The student will understand the position and tasks of the hygienic service, the principles of its activity and its competence in the context of the overall social strategy of protection and promotion of public health.

Explanation and defence of solving specific model situations on the chosen topic (or assigned) before group of students, active completion of seminars.
