Course content
1. The subject matter of social psychology, social psychology as a scientific discipline, origins and development of social psychology, social behaviour in animal kingdom. Socialization. 2. Research in social psychology, social aspects of a human life 3. Attitudes - definition, functionalist approach, structural approach 4. Attitudes, values and opinions, attitude formation - theory of learning, direct experience 5. Changes in attitudes - cognitive dissonance, presuasion 6. Measuring attitudes - indirect and direct techniques 7. Social cognition, attribution 8. Social patterns 9. Pro-social and aggressive behaviour 10. Social groups, class as a social group. Family as a primary group and socialization factor. Types and development of family. Family and health. Small social groups. 11. Group structure, group composition, affect of a group on some psychological processes. Aspects of social structure, role system. Leadership, sociometry. People recognition. 12. Social influence - conformity, obedience to an authority, influence of consituation (situation conditions)

Learning outcomes
The subject provides knowledge of social psychology. It deals with individual applications of methods and techniques aimed at the development of relationships within a group. Students become acquainted with the concept of different approaches, their formation and modifications. It gives information on social groups, group structure and composition. The subject further deepens knowledge necessary for professional management of social interactions within a group.
Students are acquainted with different ways of study of human existence and its social contect. Students understand extent of social-psychological knowledge that includes different theoretical grounds and individual methodological approaches.

Oral examination (in groups) at the end of the term. Individual work and its presentation.
