Course content
Medical ethics - introduction to the problems, history, ethical codices, ethical committee, medical education, infertility treatment, gamete donation, genetic research. Law - questions of termination of pregnancy, sterilization, antenatal diagnostics and treatment, childbirth, puerperium. Ethical problems of the surgical care. Ethical problems of patients with carcinoma, their quality of life, cooperation with family, questions, paliative care, death of the patient. Care of psychiatric ill patient, handicaped patient, medical secrecy and disclosure, respect to pacients distinctness. Ethics of the medical research, moral responsibility inmates behind personal health and life, medic - like inmate, burnout.

Learning outcomes
The course aims to familiarize students with basic approaches to health care worker to patient, taking into account the specific problems of ethical issues relating early life, prenatal diagnosis, and threatened during normal pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. In the field of gynecology is focused on the issue of cancer. Attention to principles of communication with the patient, his family, discusses the importance of good mutual relations between the medical staff.
Students should be able to work with patiens as a therapeutist with knowledges of psychological, sociological and medical connections. They should be prepared for a teamwork and they should be able to care about they own psychical health.
Prerequisites
A general overview of ethical standards with a focus on reproduction.

Oral exam, Written exam

Attendance at seminars and exercises, it is tolerated no more than one absence.
