Course content
|
Preparing a patient and assistance in the introduction of central venous catheters, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), chest drainage, gastric tube introduction and testing, and more. Possible complications and solutions. Patient preparation for arterial puncture. Indications, examination before puncture, aseptic principles, principles of entry into the arterial bed, treatment after puncture. Practical training. Patient preparation and assisting with blood purification methods (haemodialysis, hemofiltration, haemodialysis, plasmapheresis). Indications, contraindications, division, acute and chronic program, vascular approaches, principles of cleansing, complications. Coma vigil, persistent and permanent vegetative condition. Definition, way of approach, possibilities of stimulation of perception, cooperation with family. Highly specialized nursing care including care in the concept of stimulation of perception.

Learning outcomes
|
The course focuses on highly specialized patient care before and after a surgical procedure.
Demonstration of familiarity with the area and the ability to provide a highly specialized care during haemodialysis, hemofiltration, plasmaferase, chest drainage, introduction of a nasogastric tube.
