Course content
Patient with associated neurological disorder (disorder of the consciousness, convulsive states, epileptic seizure, status epilepticus, stroke, ischemia, myasthenia gravis, polyradiculoneuritis), clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment options, foetal effects, complications. Stroke units and importance in patient care. Patient with associated respiratory insufficiency (acute asthma, asthma, asthma status, non-cardiac pulmonary oedema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment options, foetal effects, complications. Patient with associated cardiovascular disorder (acute coronary syndrome, clinically significant arrhythmias, pulmonary embolism, cardiomyopathy), clinical manifestations, diagnosis of treatment options, foetal effects, complications. Patient with associated gastrointestinal tract disorder (GIT) and stomas (sudden abdominal, inflammatory and tumour diseases, hyperemesis gravidarium, hepatopathy, trauma and polytrauma in pregnancy), clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment options, foetal effects, complications. Patient with associated affection of the uropoetic system (inflammatory diseases, cancer), clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment options, foetal effects, complications.

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on highly specialized care for system organ damage: neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urogenital.
Upon completion of the course the student will know the importance of diagnosis, treatment, prevention and care provided by a midwife related to diseases of individual organ systems (neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, uropoetic).
Prerequisites
Students will be able to identify diseases of individual organ systems.

100% attendance, active participation, fulfillment of assigned tasks and demonstration of knowledge in this field.
