Course content
|
General practice as a discipline. Work methodology of the GP. Differences between hospital and outpatient care: diagnostic and therapeutic options, ethics. Visits. Social issues in the general practice. Practitioner's status in the health care system and his role in the prevention of the diseases of civilization. The role of company doctors.

Learning outcomes
|
The main goals of the teaching are as follows: to facilitate gaining basic knowledge of general practice, including the definition of general practice, to stimulate the interest of students in general/family medicine, to acquaint students with particular clinical problems in general practice.
After finishing the course, the student will be competent to choose general practice as a professional career, to analyse the provision of health care in general practice, to solve basic issues in diagnosis and therapy in general practice.
