Course content
The subject introduces a student into a complex dynamic role and mutual interplay of both external (environmental) and internal (genetic) factors in the origin and development of diseases. Based on the definition of risk factors, the subject lays emphasis on the key role of the civilization risk factors and analyses the major civilization disorders as a consequence of the conflict between environmental cues and inherited dispositions. The subject centers on the factors of bone metabolism, bone remodelation, pathophysiology of somathotropic and thyrotropic axis. The subject acquaints student with pathogenesis, clinical course and complications of localized and generalized skeletal disturbances, including degenerative and metabolic arthral diseases. The subject distinctive attention dedicates to auto-immune and immuno-deficient states manifested in myoskeletal system. The subject glosses pathogenesis of central and peripheral nervous system, comas and paroxysmal states in clinical cases analysis. In particular, the student gets knowledge about etiopathogenesis of diseases and learns the basis for practical therapeutic and preventive measures.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Methods of Written Work, Projection (static, dynamic)
Learning outcomes
The students will reach detailed knowledge of the most common diseases of the central and peripheral nerves system, the regulation of motor activity, etiopathogenetical and clinical aspects of movement disturbances based on metabolic, immune and endocrine disorders.
The students are able to integrate extending pathophysiological knowledge of the relations in voluntary and automatic control of postural stability, walking, skeletal muscles adaptation, myoskeletal diseases into clinical practice. Up-to date learning makes a contribution to understanding of the civilisation diseases prevention, including metabolic syndrome, with a focus to improve the therapy outcomes.
