Course content
- "School success" and evaluating learning outcomes - different approaches. - Modern methods of learning and education - digital learning - School, values and the role of expectations in learning. - Negative phenomena in school - aggression, bullying, truancy & their prevention. - Standardized testing and school rankings - impact on schools an education - Parents, education and the school system - Teachers' and students' personality in the learning process - The work of a school psychologist - not just with students/pupils - Counselling in educational and school psychology - what does it mean

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Attendace - 8 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 13 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 23 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 16 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim is to provide the student with information about: - contemporary issues in educational psychology and school systems in general; - the idea of inclusive school system and its pitfalls; - pros and cons of using standardized test in educational context; - advantages and risks of using digital technology in learning and education;
Graduates: - can present the advantages and disadvantages of digital technology and social media in education - are familiar with the occupational requirements of teachers and are able to describe the specifics of their interaction with students - know the basic principles for interaction with other stakeholders in the education system
Prerequisites
In order to participate, the student must have already completed the course in "Introduction to Educational and School Psychology" or a similar course at his/her home university.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Oral exam, Didactic Test, Seminar Work

Active in-class participation, completion of assignments (2 short essays), passing the final oral exam.
