Course content
There are two options for completing an internship: A) individual tutoring 10 lessons (i.e. 45 minutes) with a pupil (aged 6-15) - it should be with a pupil with learning difficulties, free of charge (without entitlement to remuneration) B) an internship lasting 30 hours (i.e. 30 x 60 minutes) in one of the selected institutions: - school counseling office, - special pedagogic center - educational care center - children's Home - diagnostic institute - low-threshold equipment for working with children - other facilities/institutions/organizations for work with socially or otherwise disadvantaged children

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquire basic orientation and practice in the issue of preventing school failure of primary school pupils. Students will gain experience with tutoring and with the operation of specialized workplaces working with school-aged children. There are two options for completing the internship - individual tutoring lasting 10 lessons (i.e. 45 minutes) with a student aged 6-15 or an internship lasting 30 hours (i.e. 30 x 60 minutes) in one of the institutions listed below.
Basic orientation and practice in prevention of school failure of primary school pupils.
Prerequisites
The student suggests a workplace where he/she would like to have the internship, and consults the contents of the internship with an employee of that institution (a supervisor); the lecturer approves the internship at this institution (in the Moodle platform in the given course).

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work

Before practice: In the case of an internship (not tutoring), it is necessary to submit a proposal in the Moodle of the given course on how to complete the internship, i.e. a comment on the selection and a description of the institution, which must then be approved by the subject guarantor. Submission of this proposal NO LATER THAN 31st OCTOBER. After practice: In Moodle, submission of FINAL REFLECTION + CONFIRMATION OF PRACTICE COMPLETED - both forms can be downloaded there. It is sufficient to insert the confirmation of practice in the form of a scan (or photo) with the signature of A) tutoring - signature of the pupil's legal representative; B) internship in the selected institution - signature of the contact teaching staff. SUBMISSION OF EXERCISES FROM THE PRACTICE NO LATER THAN 28th FEBRUARY.
