Course content
The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the essentials of molecular pathology, with emphasis on practical usage in predictive pathology and prognosis of tumour. The subject is also concerned with study of cell cycle, apoptosis and its disregulation, oncogenes and tumour supressor genes, as well as gene therapy.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Projection (static, dynamic)
Learning outcomes
Molecular pathology (MP) is the study of the etiology and pathogenesis of disease through the analysis of molecular modifications of cells and tissues, and as a profession it involves using the knowledge of the etiopathogenesis of the disease to make a diagnosis and give prognostical and therapeutical information.
The student will be able to implement knowledge of molecular pathology into consequent scientific activity and into diagnostic-therapeutic process.
Prerequisites
Knowledges from biology and physiology.
PAT/VAA11 and NAN/VAB13 and HIE/VAA12 and CJA/VAB42

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic Test

90 % attendance at classes. Successfull passing the test = minimal 75% of correct answers is required.
