Course content
Themes and topics: - Evaluation of clinical indicators of nutritional status by a general nurse - Evaluating the state of nutrition using nutritional screening tools in the work of a general nurse - Nutritional history - Evaluation of the oral cavity and the condition of the teeth by a general nurse - Nutritional anthropometry in the work of a general nurse - Use of modular dietetics and thickeners in dysphagic patients in the work of a general nurse - Analysis of the results of body composition with respect to the state of nutrition

Learning outcomes
The compulsory elective course expands and deepens the knowledge acquired in the course Nutrition. It focuses on the most important areas within nutrition in terms of the general nurse. Emphasis is placed on the evaluation of selected nutritional areas, analysis of nutritional history and anthropometric nutritional results within the professional competencies of a general nurse in practice.
Students will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and skills in clinical practice, to assess the nutritional status of the patient and individually provide care to patients in the field of nutrition and diet.
