Course content
Main topics: Energetic and biological value of food. Nutrition during individual lifespan. Dietary system. Enteral nutrition. Parenteral nutrition. Obesity. Malnutrition. Cultural differences in nutrition.

Learning outcomes
The course is designed as theoretical and practical. It will provide students with knowledge and practical skills in the field of nutrition. It will cover nutrition during individual lifespan and nutritional recommendations regarding specific diseases. It will inform about enteral and parenteral bypassing the usual process of eating, about dietary system in the hospital facility as well as cultural differences in nutrition. The course is taught in English. The condition for the course to run is a minimum of two enrolled students.
