Course content
The content of the practice is to provide basic nursing care using the nursing process in pediatric patients. In particular, the assessment of the condition needs of patients and documenting the presence of diagnostic elements of the current and potential nursing diagnoses in the following areas: Health Promotion, Nutrition, Excretion, Activity and Rest, Perception - Knowledge, Self-Perception, and Growth and Development in Children and documentation of diagnostic conclusion of these diagnoses. Student in this individual clinical training simulates, manipulates and clarifies the exercises of fundamental nursing care in everyday situations according to the standards of care. The practice is recorded into the Record of nursing practice. Practice includes final supervision

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Demonstration, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
Nursing practice in the total amount of 5 weeks. Nursing practice is for 2,5 weeks at a general practitioner for children and adolescents. Nursing practice is for 2,5 weeks at workplaces focusing on a healthy lifestyle. Students will become familiar about principles of health promotion and healthy lifestyles and institutions providing this type of care. The content of the practice is to provide basic nursing care using the nursing process in the group of patients.
Student is able to independently and initiatively approach to care activities and patient education, manages performances of nursing care in everyday situations according to the standards.
Prerequisites
The prerequisite for the student's entry into practice is the conclusion of a contract with the given facility, the training of BOZP PO and the vaccination of the student.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio, Final Report

Defense of nursing documentation conducted according to the principles of the nursing process - documentation of selected stages of the nursing process in the selected patient at workplaces, presentation of the assessment of the neuropsychic development of the child and implementation of the educational work for the child / children. Submission of evidence and completion of practice with evaluation from clinical site.
