Course content
The lessons aim at providing students with basic knowledge and teach then practical skills in the area of physical anthropology. Students will be introduced to organization of anthropologic research, basic anthropometric methods and their practical training. They will learn how to utilize anthropometric methods when monitoring physical growth and development of an individual, evaluation of nutritional condition (BMI, WHR), physical composition, evaluation of Heath-Carter anthropometric somatotype and evaluation of biological age. Students will learn principal statistical methods when processing and evaluating results of anthropologic research.

Learning outcomes
The aim of anthropometry in fields other than medicine is to introduce students to the methods of standardised anthropometry, to teach them how to evaluate one's somatic state in different phases of ontogenesis, covering the following areas: physical growth and development, nutritional stage, fractionation of physical composition, establishing anthropometric somatotype and biological age.

Knowledge of anatomy.
