Course content
The content of the seminar will be a series of presentations focused on the modern aspects of bioorganic chemistry and chemical biology. Liposomes as a model for monitoring of polyphenoles effect on membrane potential. Possibilities and limitation of flow cytometry. Study of interactions of low molecular compounds with DNA and proteins using physico-chemical methods. Cytogenetic methods and their usage in medicine. Real time PCR. New CDK inhibitors. Increases in solubility and bioavailability of active compounds. Modified nucleosides and oligonucleotides. Significance of solid-phase synthesis in new drug development. Fluorescence marking in biological studies.

The seminar introduce students into practical aspects of modern bioorganic chemistry and chemical biology and research projects at the Department of Organic Chemistry.
