Course content
Basics of radiopharmacy - sources of radionuclides, preparation of radiopharmaceuticals, radiopharmaceuticals application methods, biokinetics of radiopharmaceuticals. New radiopharmaceuticals and perspectives of nuclear medicine - theranostics. Practice - preclinical studies of radiopharmaceuticals using PET/SPECT/CT.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration
Learning outcomes
The main aim is to increase the knowledge of basics of radiopharmacy, including new research in the field of nuclear medicine. To familiarize students with practical activity in a pre-clinical research laboratory equipped with a PET / SPECT / CT camera.
Enhanced knowledge in the field of radiopharmacy will further optimize indications of nuclear medicine examinations and therapies - including methods that will be introduced in the Czech Republic in the years ahead.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of physiology and pathophysiology, basic knowledge of nuclear medicine.
