Learning outcomes
To introduce students with selected topics from plant molecular biology supplied with current scientific information from the particular area. The course is supplemental to basic course Plant Physiology (LRR/FZRSB), Plant Growth and Development (LRR/RVR), Specialized Plant Physiology(LRR/SFR).
After completing the course, the student should be able to: - Characterize the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana - Describe a architecture of a plant cell and the function of all cell organells - Describe basic membrane transport and intracellular transport of proteins - Explain molecular processes during plant reproduction. - Characterize basic mechanisms of seed germination and mobilization or rezerves - Obtain knowledge about basic methods of molecular biology (DNA cloning, transgene detection, preparation od transgenic organisms)
Prerequisites
