Course content
It gives an overview on history and basic principles of plant tissue cultures, setups for aseptic work, totipotency of plant cell, regeneration potential of plants, somatic variability and its utilization, morphogenesis (organogenesis, embryogenesis).

  • Homework for Teaching - 4 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
- learn laboratory methods in aseptic conditions - explain regeneration abilities of plants - apply basic methods of in vitro cultures - predict potential and perspectives of Explantate Culture Techniques - set up and evaluace the experiments
Using of basic principles of plant tissue cultures in praxis.
