Course content
1. The process of communication. Communication competence. 2. Communication and the self-concept. Elements of human perception. 3. Dyadic communication. 4. Verbal communication. 5. Types of nonverbal communication. 6. Improving listening skills. Intimacy and distance in relationships. 7. Supportive and defensive communication climates. 8. Public communication. 8. Small group communication. 9. Group communication. 10.Masmedial communication. 11. Intercultural and gender differences in communication. 12. Managing interpersonal conflicts.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The primary goal of this course is to help you become an effective communicator. You will learn the basics of effective communication and have ample opportunity to practice and improve your communication skills.
Students will acquire skills of the course according to sylabus.
Prerequisites
1. To increase the student?s ability to improve and utilize the skills necessary to be a competent interpersonal communicator. 2. To increase the student?s understanding of his or her own communication behavior. 3. To increase the student?s understanding of others communication behaviors. 4. To improve the student?s communication skills in both social and professional contexts. 5. To improve the student?s ability to demonstrate effective conflict resolution skills.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Seminar Work

Fully participate in class activities and simulations. Develop and present a portfolio which includes evidence of the student's knowledge and ability to demonstrate the stated performance outcomes.
