Course European Union: structures, politics, proceses offers an introduction into the European integration process. The course is conceived as a base for further study of European integration issues. The course acquaints the students with the development of integration process and functioning of European Union. For better understanding the course is divided into three major thematic sections: The first deals with the history of European integration and the treaties, the second deals with the institutional structure of the EU and its functioning, the last one focuses on European policies.
The course gives solid understanding of the developmnets of the integration process and functioning of EU. Students are able to understand and orientate themselves in the main integration issues, know the institutional structures, decion-making processes and procedures.

Prerequisites
|
Course EU: structres, politics and processes is designed for the second year students of the Department of journalism.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam
Credit Course Unit is awarded based on following requirements: knowledge of basic and additional literature and seminar readings, active participation in seminars (maximum of two absences is tolerated), presentation, written test.
