Course content
Based on painting performed according to a model, the students acquire anatomical principles, feeling for proportional relations and colour modelling. The portrait painting upon a model is changed for painting of conceptual character where the portrait plays just a distraction role and moves to the basic creative message. The study character painting is completed with work on the individual portrait cycle. Students get acquainted with different approaches within the history of portrait painting.

The main content of the seminar is a portrait painting.
Improvement of painting skills from realistic approach towards expressive hyperbole.
Prerequisites
Students will gain the skills in portrait drawing and painting.

Active participation in seminars, seminar works, finished tasks from seminars and given homework.
