Course content
The course focuses on the introduction to problems of graphic design and insists on understanding the shortcut and stylization process. Proceeding from the realistic drawing to stylized symbol, from the concrete to the abstract, from the difficult to the simple. Seminars are centred on practical exercises during which students solve the stylization on a given subject. Extended education related to using the graphic SW (CorelDRAW) is a part of the course.

Learning outcomes
The course objective is to understand the process of creating the graphic shortcut and stylization. Students use the gained knowledge when working on concrete practical tasks from the field of applied graphic art (company logo, poster) which they solve from the proposal up to final realization. A part of the course is devoted to mastering the PC vector graphics and bitmap processing (CorelDRAW).

Basic knowledge of CorelDraw SW.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary), Seminar Work

1) Stylization of the chosen object. Poster including the procedure from the first drawings up to the resultant image. 2) Design and realization of a graphic task from the field of applied graphic art (poster, logo, CD cover, etc.) Mastering the graphic SW. Regular consultations, participations in seminars at least 80 %. ISP: Regular consultations, participations in seminars at least 50 %.
