Course content
Terminology definitions, a brief characterization of the prehistoric and ancient society. Description of the various cultural areas antiquity - Egypt, Greece, Rome, India, and gender issues. Periodization of the Middle Ages (major milestones), typical symptoms of the company in relation to gender. The question of religion and the status of women in the Middle Ages. Women and education in the Middle Ages. Changing the thinking of society with the advent of modern times. The influence of the industrial revolution. The beginnings of the feminist movement. The arrival of the 20th century and a shift in people's thinking. Two world wars and their reflection in the field of gender. The issue of gender in Czechoslovakia (1918-1992) and Czech Republic (1993-2000), with an emphasis on the major political events in the country. Issues of gender in the 21st century. Characteristics of contemporary civilization.

Learning outcomes
The seminar will offer an unusual view of the development and changes in the company's approach to the issue of gender. It is set in a historical framework, which will highlight the main concerns of various epochs and describes ways to solve them in history from antiquity to the present. Will be accentuated most significant historical milestones, influencing corporate behavior, shifts in thinking and behavior of people in this area. After completing the course, students should be able to: "Define the basic terminology, "Clarify the historical background of changes in the company, "Explain the essence of the transformation of society from a gender perspective, "Enumerate and characterize the various historical periods, with an emphasis on the monitoring of the issue, "Assess the implications of key events in relation to gender.
Interpretation of changes in the attitudes of society towards gender.

Interest in gender issues.

Elaboration and presentation of a paper on a given topic. Passing the knowledge test.
