Course content
Mastering politological terminology and theories.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
  • Homework for Teaching - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 40 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Basic specialist terminology and fundamental theories. Democracy and polyarchy. Parliamentary, presidential and semi-presidential systems. Party systems and electoral systems. The Czech political system, selected west European systems and the US system. Transition from communism to democracy.
Knowledge of the theory and practice of political science and didactics of citizenship education.
Prerequisites
Orientation in political science and didactics.
