Course content
Political geography - definition, basic concepts. Political map of the world and its development. States and territories. Population and the role of nations. Geopolitical theory.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Attendace - 14 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 7 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 6 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Seminars are devoted to selected topics from the field of political geography. Course offers an overview of the geopolitical theories, introduction to the political map of the world, the roles of states and territories, the problems of the peoples and populations. After completing the course, students should be able to: "Define the basic concepts of political geography "Clarify the role of the political map of the world and its transformations "Characterize the role of nations and states "Explain the nature of geopolitical theories
Knowledge of the theory and practice of political geography.
Prerequisites
Orientation in political geography.
