Course content
Didactic transformation selected thematic curriculum units using different activating teaching methods.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Homework for Teaching - 9 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 8 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Practical implementation of new teaching strategies and methods for the development of critical thinking, developing projects, methods aimed at cooperation, creativity, problem solving. The seminar will focus on the application of these strategies of citizenship education at primary and secondary schools in accordance with the relevant RVP. After completing the course, students should be able to: "Define the basic terminology, "Explain the basic principle of activation methods, "Explain the nature of each specific activation methods, "Assess the severity and appropriateness of the method in relation to the educational reality.
Getting new ideas for (non-traditional) teaching of social sciences.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of general, professional and subject didactics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio

After passing contact instruction, students will perform other academic tasks. In the first task will be to characterize the examples of activation methods, corresponding with their approbation. In the second task, demonstrating its ability to link theoretical proposals activation methods in practical training at a previously agreed topic in the social sciences. The tasks students will be sent to the teacher to check e-mail.
