Course content
Topics: Methodology of diploma thesis, work with literature, text structure, classification, professional style, citation standards, work with databases. Research, hypotheses in empirical research. Researches qualitatively and quantitatively oriented, choice of methods for empirical part of diploma thesis. Methods of data collection in empirical research. Preparation for defense.

  • Homework for Teaching - 40 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: characterize scientific pedagogical research and its phases, formulate hypotheses, know the basis of qualitative and quantitative research, use standardized observation techniques, interview, sociometry, semantic differential, Q-methodology in the evaluation of specific research, to describe individual methods of pedagogical diagnostics, to prepare a simple diagnostic project.
Ability to write a master's thesis.

Presentation of the project of my own diploma thesis in education.
