Course content
Civil society - determination. Civil society tradition. Czechoslovak civil society during the First Republic. Civil society in Czechoslovakia after 1989. The state and civil society. Civil society and democracy. Citizen and citizenship. Public interests and their representation. Associative and autonomous civil society.

Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)

Learning outcomes
The seminar is devoted to the problems of civil society in relation to the state, to democracy and citizenship. Students will also focus on civil society tradition. After completing the course, students should be able to: "Define the role of civil society "Clarify the relationship between the state and civil society "Characterize civil society actors "Explain the role of civil society in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic
Knowledge of civil society in the context of Czech and European traditions.
Prerequisites
Orientation in the field of civil society.
