Course content
1) What is Sociology? 2) What is Society? 3) Traditions of Sociological Thought. 4) Sociological Thought of 20 century. 5) Logic of Sociological Inquiry. 6) Socialization, Socialization Process, Agents of Socialization. 7) Family and Marriage. 8) Social Groups and Formal Organizations. 9) Social Structure of Society and Social Interaction. 10) Culture and Subcultures. 11) Social Control.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the lectures is to present the fundamental paradigms of sociological thinking and the fundamental terms used for description of social reality. The objective of the seminars is to introduce terms from primary sociological sources and perspectives of various theories on social reality.
This is an introductory course in Sociology, starting with an overview of the nature of the discipline, followed by a survey of various aspects of the structures and dynamics of social life. General and specific examples are used to illustrate how thinking sociologically adds to our knowledge of world around us.
