Course content
Topics: Forms of didactic transformation of selected thematic units of the curriculum (according to FEP BE and FEP G) using different activating teaching methods (Man in Society, Man as Individual, Man, State and Economy, Man, State and Law, International Relations, Global World, respectively: Man in society, Man as an individual, Citizen in state, Citizen and law, International relations, global world, Introduction to philosophy and religion).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Homework for Teaching - 15 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 10 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 15 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Practical implementation of new teaching strategies and methods leading to the development and strengthening of critical thinking, creation of projects, methods focused on cooperation, creativity, problem solving. The seminar will focus on the application of these strategies in citizenship education at primary and secondary schools in accordance with the relevant FEPs.
At the end of the course students should be able to: "to define basic terminological terms, "clarify the basic principle of activation methods, "explain the nature of the individual activation methods, "to assess the difficulty and suitability of a given method in relation to educational reality.
Prerequisites
The prerequisite is the orientation of students in the literature and knowledge of basal terminology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Compulsory (80%) and active participation in seminars, elaboration of a set of methodological sheets and proposal of activation methods on a selected topic from citizenship education or social sciences in the range of 4-8 standard pages and its subsequent presentation at the seminar, preparation for credit.
