Course content
The subject primarily focuses on the following areas: 1. Types and properties of paper, paper processing, folding, shaping, laminating, dying, plastic structures made of paper, etc. practical activities with paper, preciseness in design, origami. Final treatement of paper products, packaging, methodological sheets and final products. Choice for practical applications at primary schools. 2. Types and properties of yarn and textile, textile processing, woven and non-woven textile, types of structures. Hand and machine techniques of fibre processing, crocheting, knitting, basic methods. Basics of hand and machine sewing. Embroidery - simple pattern book, more complicated products. Point lace, weaving, bobbin lacing - basic operations, small individual product. Choice for practical applications at primary schools. 3. Natural materials, perishable and non-perishable (fruits, leaves, etc.) Customary verbal objects and traditional folk materials, "Vizovice" dough. Leather, ceramics. Waste and unconventional material, combined techniques, flower dressing.

Learning outcomes
The acquisition of theoretical knowledge as well as practical activities; technologies and guidelines for processing paper, yarn, and textile materials, including final samples made from selected materials. To provide students with practical training so as to acquire basic working and creative skills required for handling these materials. Confirmation of theoretical knowledge in paper and textile products and their uses in living environments as well as society. Students' own practical creative activities also forms part of this discipline.
The student will be qualified to work with different materials.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of materials for technical work.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works)

Ability of practical usage of materials, application of theoretical knowledge about properties, usage and processing of paper, textiles and yarns in practical activities with these materials.
