Course content
|
1. Introductory fire protection and health and safety at work training for students. Induction test of knowledge and skills. 2. UPONET computer network and basic rules of its usage. Basic characteristics and issues related to computer networks, signing up to a network, signing out of a network, signing up to a different server, etc. 3. E-mailing, sending and receiving messages, forwarding e-mails to a different user, deletion of messages, sending files, internet address. 4. Advanced options of e-mail. 5. Antivirus protection - AVAST programme, detection of viruses and their deletion. 6. Searching services on Internet, Internet Explorer programme, website browsing, browsing servers. 7. Websites for teachers (Učitelský spomocník, Bobrův pomocník, etc.) and basic information about their contents. 8. Searching information at websites for teachers. Learning software and its samples. 9. How to use a scanner, scanning pictures or documents. OCR. 10. Using simple graphic processor - modification of scanned pictures. 11. WORD text processor - graphs, pasting mathematical and other symbols and formulas. 12. WORD - pasting pictures and other objects, drawing of sketches. 13. MS EXCEL - creation of tables and graphs. 14. MS PowerPoint - elaboration of own teaching presentation. 15. Final test.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce possibilities of usage and implementation of IT in the teaching process. Applied characteristics of the course enables the students to get acquainted with practical usage of a computer in teaching practice. They will be able to search the internet and apply the information to their needs when creating own educational documents or constructs.
Students are introduced to the practical application and use of computers for the needs of teachers. They can also work with simple graphics programs. The word processor MS Word (or similar) are able to add text finished or newly created image, and must control the creation of tables and graphs in MS EXCEL.

Prerequisites
|
A prerequisite is a basic computer skills at secondary school level.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Seminar Work
Mastering the basics of ICT work, advanced level. Successful passing of final test in ICT in educational environment. Elaboration of own teaching presentation in MS PowerPoint.
